ERP
What is an ERP?
ERP comes from the acronym for "Enterprise Resource Planning" in English.
In other words, an ERP is a software that centralizes the company's "resources", to know :
– the management of the company's sales and transactions,
– stock and inventory management,
– human resources management,
– payroll/salary management…
For this reason, ERPs are generally associated with management software.

And for that reason, in France, we would rather speak of " management software package » or ERP (for Integrated Management Software).
In general, ERPs are equipped with a database for storing and centralizing company resources.
They can be structured around different accessible and optimized modules for the different services and professions of the company (accounting, payroll, management, HR, etc.).
The most well-known and widely used software programs by companies worldwide are certainly the following:
SAP, Oracle infrastructures , Sage, MS Dynamics, blind...
But with the emergence of the Cloud, new players have quickly established themselves in this highly competitive market:
ZohoERP, Odoo, dolibarr (open source)...
